in the Eastern Tradition* |

Fr. McGauley will offer an introduction
to prayer in the Eastern tradition – followed by a guided
experience of two of Tony DeMello’s meditation exercises: “Nam
Jap” which is a form of the Jesus Prayer and leads into Anointing
with the name of Jesus, and the “Healing Breathing Prayer.” Fr.
McGauley worked as a Jesuit missionary in India for many years
and now serves as the director of the St. Francis Xavier House
of Prayer in Baltimore. |
