Worship at Holy Trinity
The ministry of Worship is the Church at prayer:  communally and individually.  The liturgy is the “work of the people,” and that is very true for Holy Trinity parish.  The assembly is central to the celebration, as we all are gathered together by Christ in worship and praise.  We strive in our prayer to be nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ so that we can go and live the Eucharist in the world through our interactions with others and our work for justice in the world.

In addition to being part of the assembly, many are involved in special liturgical ministries – ministry at Mass or part of the preparation for Mass.  Holy Trinity has over 400 ministers involved in a variety of roles, and new people are always welcome.

Each week, we celebrate Sunday Masses, daily Masses, and regular opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  At other times throughout the year, the Parish will celebrate communal rites for the Anointing of the Sick, Reconciliation, Evening Prayer, School Masses, and celebrations of sacraments such as First Communion and Confirmation.  Of course, funerals, memorial masses, baptisms and weddings are celebrated throughout the year as well.

The Worship Committee serves as a permanent advisory committee to the Pastoral Council; Committee members consider liturgical initiatives, and addresses liturgical issues and concerns that arise in the parish.  They are also responsible for planning the outlining the preparation of the seasons and feasts of the year.  Liturgy Preparation Teams serve as promoters of good worship for the various regular weekend liturgies.  Within the liturgical celebrations themselves, parishioners serve as lectors, Communion ministers, hospitality ministers and in many other roles.  New members are always welcome.
