What can volunteers do at the Holy Trinity Classic?
- Decorations: Any time prior to October 26th.
We need a creative person to design table centerpieces and obtain supplies for day of event.
- Setting up for the event: Friday,
October 26th 8:30 – 10:30am
- Registration for all tennis and golf players: Friday,
October 26th 10:00am – 12:30pm
Involves collecting funds, assigning foursomes and golf carts, distributing player gifts and goody bags, and providing a friendly welcome to all our participants.
- Tennis Tournament Host: Friday, October 26th 9:00am – 11:00am
Greet players, take photographs, and attest to contest winners.
- Witnessing on a hole: Friday, October 26th 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Several holes along the course will have contests, such as the Hole-in-One Car Giveaway contest sponsored by the Coggin Family and Koons of Manassas. These contests require witnesses on the hole to attest to the authenticity of a “win.” Two volunteers are assigned to each of these holes and are rotated throughout the day to keep things interesting. This job allows you to visit with every foursome in the tournament!
- Set up and decorate dining room: Friday,
October 26th 11:00am – 2:00pm
Set tables with programs, centerpieces, goody bags, etc. Arrange silent auction items.
- Silent Auction: Friday, October 26th 5:00 – 8:00pm
Supervise tables of silent auction items during cocktail party. Tally winners and collect payment during dinner.
- Putting Contest and Cocktail
Party: Friday, October 26th 4:30 – 6:30pm
Supervise putting contest. Supervise course staff to bring in all drinks from course to cocktail party.
- Photographer: Friday, October 26th throughout the whole day.
Document the event for web site, player gifts, next year’s program, etc.
All volunteers are cordially invited to stay for Cocktails and Awards Dinner at the Banquet Only price of $75.
Please consider any combination of assignments or time frames that fit your schedule. All hands are welcome for any part of the day!!!
