The Holy Trinity Iconographers Guild was founded in March 1995, and currently meets in the Art Room of Holy Trinity’s Upper School or in the Library of the Parish Center. Icons are written or painted using egg tempera and gouache or water color paints. The subjects for the icon are taken from the stories of Hebrew and Christian Testaments and from hagiography of Byzantine and Rome Catholic Churches. The subjects include:
Jesus Christ
Mary the Theotokos
Saints, Prophets, Evangelists and Angels.
Roman rite saints written are:
St. Francis of Assisi
Teresa of Avila and recently
St. Columba of the Celtic Church.
Classes meet the first and third Thursday of the month, from 7:00 p.m. until
9:00 p.m. The Holy Trinity Iconographers Guild began exhibiting
icons in 1996 at Holy Trinity Parish and other local churches. Watch
