Fr. Joseph Nangle, OFM will pose the question:
Can Justice lead to Faith, or Can Faith lead to Justice?
Fr. Nangle is a former executive committee member of the Pax Christi USA National Council.  He previously served as co-director for the Franciscan Mission Service (FMS), and is a board member of the U.S. Catholic Mission Association (USCMA).  Fr. Nangle has represented Pax Christi USA as a media spokesperson, in nonviolent direct actions, and on delegations, including a 2003 religious leaders’ delegation that met with Pope John Paul II in the lead-up to the Iraq war, to ask the Pope to visit the United Nations to address the U.N. Security Council on his opposition to war.  Fr. Nangle is a council member of Pax Christi Metro D.C. and the Assisi Community in D.C., which he helped found 20 years ago as a live-in community of lay and religious committed to a simple lifestyle and ministries of justice and peace.  He also served as a missioner in Bolivia and Peru for 15 years during the rise of liberation theology.  His 2004 book, Birth of a Church, captured how one parish lived into the vision of this theology.

Young Adult Community (YAC) Retreats
These annual weekend retreats are held in the fall and spring at the Bellarmine Retreat Center in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania.  Generally, the groups explore their faith lives in action with respect to God.  They are weekends of reflection and renewal--and are a great way to become involved in the Young Adult Community (YAC).
Annual Spring Retreat:  April 18 – 20, 2008
The Young Adult Community invites young people to gather for this weekend away from the distractions of a busy life in a busy city.

The retreat team has begun planning but your time and talents are needed.  Do you play a musical instrument?  Are you a wiz in the kitchen?  Do you feel called to share your experiences and give a talk?  Are you interested in leading a small group?  You need not have attended or worked at a previous retreat to help out.  For more information or to express interest please contact us at retreat@holytrinityyacs.org.

View photos from the most recent retreat on the YAC web site.
