Committee Mission/Function:
Parish
Life is centered in community building, the ongoing support
of Parish activities and ministry to parishioners in their
particular needs. Holy Trinity’s Parish
Life Ministry comprises a wide range of opportunities and
programs, all of
which enhance and nurture the community as a whole as well
as individuals and small groups.
Sanctity of Human Life promotes a greater respect for human
life, and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom,
through advocacy, education, evangelization, and temporal and
spiritual support on behalf
of God’s great gift of human life and human love. Specific responsibilities
include:
- promoting the message of the value and dignity of human life in all conditions and stages;
- educating parishioners about Catholic teachings on the sanctity of human life;
- offering reconciliation and healing for those affected by affronts on the sanctity of human life;
- sharing and disseminating information to parishioners on upcoming activities, programs, and events
communicated by the Archdiocese and the Pro-Life Secretariat;
- developing programs and outreach for parishioners and the community in support of the sanctity of human life;
- recognizing the diversity of the Holy Trinity community and encouraging participation of all parishioners in its discussions and activities;
- conducting all of the above activities with tolerance and respect.
