| Common issues in considering running for the Council |
- Afraid of losing?
Candidates have run again and been elected in subsequent years. Serve on a committee and run again.
- Haven’t been in the parish very long?
Council candidates have been registered parishioners ranging from one year to over 20 years.
- Afraid of work or commitment?
A little work and commitment is a blessing for a good cause, not a chore.
- What if circumstances change?
Council members have moved, been sent to Iraq, had personal or business issues that caused them to resign. That is a part of life; those persons who got the next most votes are then asked to serve.
